Our BST Shop Crew is currently looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service for our 2nd shift operations.

In this role, you will perform truck repair/maintenance, work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals.

Requirements For A Diesel Mechanic Position With Building Systems Transportation

• Responsible for diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical trouble shooting, steering and cooling systems.
• Inspect trucks and trailers for safety related issues such as tires, brakes, lights, etc.
• Performs inspection, maintenance and repairs on heavy duty vehicles, such as trucks, trailers, forklifts, pickups, etc.
• Keeps track of the maintenance work on the vehicles.
• Ensures services provided are in compliance with safety procedures.
• Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
• May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
• Must be able to perform Federal Inspections within one year of employment
• Having A Class A CDL would be a bonus, but not required.
