Job Summary

We are currently hiring for a 3D Designer to join our rapidly growing design and build firm. As a 3D Designer at CraftScape Creations, you will be a part of an entrepreneurial team servicing luxury residential clientele in Los Angeles, CA.

Within this role, you will be responsible for producing eye-catching 3D renders for a variety of projects. You’ll need to be both creative and technically minded, in order to model prospective buildings and landscapes that will both function well and meet the needs of our clients. Your role is to bring ideas to life by ideating and conceptualizing designs using plans, architectural illustrations and other reference materials to produce photo-realistic 3D images or animations of proposed buildings and developments. The final assets should be packaged in a client ready format.

Please note, this is a full-time position onsite and in the field with occasional flexibility to work from home.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with architectural and design teams to plan and visualize construction projects
• Produce high-quality atmospheric visualizations for client presentations
• Present and explain visualizations to clients and internal teams
• Model 3D forms to a brief using appropriate software applications
• Render in Corona/V-ray and design, model and visualize in Autodesk 3ds Max
• Ensure accuracy and attractive representation across all assets
• Assist with planning decisions
• Create both static visualizations and animations/CGI
• Work with industry-standard design tools and programs
• Visualize building concepts in various graphic mediums
• Collaborate and work independently to create timely, entertaining, engaging, and shareable content
• Develop, edit and execute creative video assets that align with our brand and marketing goals
• Retouch images for content production
• Keep up to date with relevant software advances

Technical Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural 3D design
• Expert in Autodesk tools (AutoCAD, Revit, 3ds Max, Rendering, Maya etc.)
• Expert in 3D architecture software including SketchUp, Land F/X, Corona and V-ray
• Ideally proficient in Rhinoceros 7, Unreal Engine, Blender, Enscape, Twinmotion, Keyshot, Redshift, Houdini FX, CATIA 3D
• Proficiency in GIS (Geographic Information System) software for site analysis and mapping
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

Other Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution
• Ability to collaborate with other design professionals, such as architects, civil engineers and contractors
• Familiarity with construction materials and techniques used in architecture
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to apply design thinking to different scenarios and disciplines
• Possess a compelling portfolio with a variety of work

Salary range is $75,000 - $90,000 based on experience

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
