Description and Responsibilities:

We are looking for Science Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators at Carson City-Crystal High School.

Ultimately, you will help and inspire children to achieve important learning milestones.

• Effectively interacts, communicates, and collaborates with students, parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders to foster student learning.
• Establishes a safe, supportive, positive, and productive learning environment for all students.
• Demonstrates a variety of 21st-century teaching skills to foster independent, creative, critical thinkers and problem solvers.
• Designs and facilitates engaging, high-level, sophisticated learning experiences and applications appropriate to prepare students for the 21st century global, knowledge-based society.
• Teaches concepts and skills based on state standards that facilitate learning and contribute to students’ academic and personal development.
• Teaches performance expectations in science and engineering practices, disciplinary core ideas, and crosscutting concepts, derived from the NGSS Framework.
• Demonstrates and evaluates the effectiveness of both formative and summative assessments.
• Participates in faculty meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.
• Organizes classrooms and other settings for daily instruction.
• Effectively uses personal computing devices and software applications for the management of student records, instructional efficiency, and professional development.
• Meets with parents, administrators, and school counselors as needed to discuss student performance, social and emotional needs, behavior, and personal and academic goals and expectations.
• Performs other related duties as required.
  

Salary: Based on CCCEA Master Agreement.
