Job Summary:
As an Account Engineer, Property you'll act as an advocate on behalf of our clients, while developing relationships with carrier engineers.
What You'll Do:
- Be a strong advocate for the client to aid them in identifying, prioritizing and reducing risks
- Drive Woodruff Sawyer's Vision of being the industry's most sought-after talent and trusted experts on managing risk. We focus on client risk, so they can focus on their future
- Advise clients on fire, machinery breakdown, and natural hazard exposures
- Negotiate with carrier engineers on risk improvement plans, recommendations, and alternatives
- Perform physical site surveys, collecting the necessary information to assemble marketing and COPE reports
- Estimate and determine adequacy of reported values using tools such as Marshall & Swift
- Advise account service teams on natural hazard exposures and limits

Experience & Qualifications:
- 3+ years property insurance risk engineering experience/ property loss control experience
- Understanding of FM Global, NFPA, or other HPR standards and concepts
- Ability to travel to California and Oregon about 15-30% of the time, and occasionally elsewhere in the U.S.A, and infrequently overseas.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required

More About Us:
Compensation: Anticipated salary between $72,409.00 - $120,000.00. Salary offered will be dependent upon geography, experience, and expertise of the candidate.
This position is eligible to participate in an incentive program to earn additional compensation with a target equivalent to 8% of salary annually, based on individual and Company performance.
