SUMMARY:

Do you want a job with a company that is motivated to eliminate the digital divide throughout Middle Tennessee? We are looking for a talented and motivated Business Account Executive (BAE). This BAE role is an individual contributor position on the B2B sales team responsible for driving revenue growth in the SMB business segment. This role also has a direct impact on our business customer experience and will help us achieve a world-class Net Promoter Score (NPS).

The Business Account Executive is responsible for the day-to-day planning and driving of sales revenue for commercial internet, voice-based services, and video within an assigned territory. Candidate must have a proven track record of exceeding monthly and quarterly sales goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to exceed revenue, profit, and unit targets in order to grow the business.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively generates new leads and grows a business funnel through various prospecting activities, including cold calling, canvassing, customer referrals, and partner relationships.
  • Creates and delivers sales presentations and proposals demonstrating knowledge of United s products and services.
  • Attends meetings with customers daily with a strong ability to build rapport, open doors, and understand business requirements of decision makers.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written, presentation, persuasion, negotiation, and sales skills.
  • Consistently delivers on United s Brand Promise to deliver Faster Internet Speeds and Dedicated Service.
  • Maintains and builds customer and community relationships; works with internal teams to ensure operational efficiencies and develop best practices to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing team to plan and coordinate sales promotions and incentives to best meet business goals and objectives.
  • Maintains accurate and quality sales records which include notes of interactions and next steps with customers and leads.
  • Prepares sales and activity reports, including forecasts of future sales and future revenue.

JOB QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Licenses/Certificates:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years Sales or Account Management experience.
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record and current auto insurance
  • Reliable vehicle per transportation needs of assigned territory
  • Comfortable with daily prospecting to business prospects
  • Strong follow-up skills with both prospects and customers
  • Ability to build and promote strong, long-lasting customer and team relationships
  • Client-focused with a passion for exceptional customer service
  • Passion for winning
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and organize own work day
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Desired Education, Experience, Skills, and Licenses/Certificates:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ Years Sales or Account Management experience preferred
  • Comfortable with, and experience in, daily prospecting to business prospects
  • Five+ years in telecommunications or ISP industry
  • Recent sales training and/or certification
  • Ability to overcome customer objections to close sales on first visit
  • Experience managing leads and opportunities within a CRM database
  • Salesforce CRM experience
  • Intermediate or above skills with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience with B2B selling
