The Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD) enables R&D laboratories in Academia, and Industry alike, to use a highly diversified portfolio of chemicals for synthetic and analytical chemistry, biotechnology, life science and material science research, providing scale and customization beyond the standard catalogue offerings to support product lifecycle and value chain beyond early-stage R&D. We deliver key laboratory chemicals scientists need, safely and efficiently, so that they can focus on results.

How will you make an impact?

You’ll achieve incremental sales growth of the Thermo Fisher Laboratory Chemicals lines in target accounts within Southern CA, AZ, NV, UT and HI, leading all aspects of the territory including account/segment selling, strategy & execution, competitive intelligence and new business development, utilising multiple distribution partners. You’d represent the full Thermo Fisher Laboratory Chemical portfolio to various industries in the territory both via strong selling activity as well as involvement in technical seminars and industry organizations. All available internal and external resources will be brought to bear to innovate growth of our Chemicals business.

What will you do?

  • Develop strategic sales plans to drive ambitious incremental growth of Analytical Reagents, BioReagents & Discovery Chemicals lines.
  • Conduct formal activities that drive sales: presentations, focus groups, seminars and new product launches.
  • Promote our value proposition at all levels within accounts/industry.
  • Provide detailed market intelligence regarding competitors.
  • Direct daily sales activities to ensure timely customer response and follow-up where required.
  • Coordinate & collaborate with various internal teams (i.e local sales colleagues, Distribution, etc) to develop dynamic alliances and promote the growth of the Chemicals business.
  • Implement joint calls with Distribution representatives as needed to provide sales & product training and promote incremental sales activities.

How will you get here?

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. BS in Chemistry is ideal.

Experience

  • 2-3 Years' Sales Experience and/or 1-3 Years Experience in Chemistry, Life Sciences or Healthcare field preferred
  • New Business/Hunter sales background strongly preferred

Position may require Covid-19 vaccination and/or routine testing, per client discretion. As a requirement to be onsite at Thermo Fisher Scientific this position requires vaccination status disclosure upon employment.

The salary range estimated for this position is $74,000 to $120,000. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
