We are a growing our Finance team based in Orlando (FL), developing world leading game-based military simulations for major NATO powers and their allies. We are constantly looking for ways to advance the whole industry, using the latest technologies and trends (such as whole world simulation, virtual reality and motion tracking).

The Accountant responsibilities will include assisting in day-to-day accounting operations including receivables, payables, and month-end close. In addition to preparing, processing, and analyzing various accounting data and operational information, the role will support various departments as needed with contract management and other financial and administrative tasks. A new Financial Controls Framework is being rolled out company-wide, and the accountant will directly support this initiative. This is a hybrid position based out of Orlando, FL, with fully remote taken into consideration for applicants not living in the area.

Responsibilities

Daily and on-going responsibilities of the Accountant position include but are not limited to:

• Financial Controls Framework - documentation, ongoing monitoring and testing
• Accounts receivable
• Accounts payable
• Sales and use tax
• Cash flow
• General ledger (account reconciliations, journal entries, fixed assets, etc.)
• Bank reconciliations
• Support monthly close process
• Support external annual audit
• Support BAE internal audit activities as they arise
• Ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

• BS degree in accounting or similar discipline
• Experience with accounting software (NetSuite is preferred)
• Intermediate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
• Inter-company accounting experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Ability to balance competing priorities

Desirable experience

• General ledger
• Software and / or government contracting industry
• Interaction with foreign subsidiaries / foreign currency
