Compensation: $23.50 - $29.00 per hour

Summary

The MOD Accounting team is looking for an Accountant I who is looking to learn and grow with our organization. If you are energized by new opportunities and inspired by growth, this role is for you. This role will be responsible for accounting for our store revenue, expenses, and inventory and will include reconciling our balance sheet accounts as assigned. The ideal candidate will be a strong team-player who is willing to help drive our business forward as part of a highly collaborative team. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced and growing business will lead to success in our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support period-end closing - You will be responsible for preparing and posting journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts as assigned.
• Participate in cross-functional teams - You will work with others across the organization to help support our business functions and help drive company growth.
• Work as part of an energetic and engaged team, willing to drive operational improvements in accounting and across our business.
• Support key initiatives within the company and be excited by change.
• Support additional accounting projects as needed.
  

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related experience
• Knowledge of US GAAP and Internal Controls
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An understanding and commitment to MOD's values
• High degree of professionalism and integrity
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively
• Proven success at developing strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results
• A positive upbeat personality who focuses on opportunities rather than obstacles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP preferred

Physical Requirements

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
