Job description

Keystone is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization in York County, South Carolina. We offer internationally accredited and licensed services including education, prevention and treatment to meet the needs of individuals, families, and groups that are experiencing alcohol and/or drug related problems. We are seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant to join our team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Responsible for AP including invoice entry, cutting checks, obtaining signatures, recording ACHs payments, credit card transaction entry, and filing.

2. Responsible for cash receipts including preparing bank deposits andcorresponding general ledger entry.

3. Enter and post journal entries into accounting system.

4. Responsible for checking bank account activity daily and that Positive Pay is operating correctly.

5. Timely reconciliation of agency GL accounts to reports received from the state.

6. Complete and submit monthly reporting required for state reimbursement.

7. Responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing and submission.

8. Responsible for accounts receivable including issuing invoices and submitting payment requests, recording payments, and grant accounting.

9. Monitors current status of cash, requesting transfers between accounts as required.

10. Responsible for month-end close process in coordination with Qbix.

11. Responsible for review and timely reconciliation of agency GL accounts.

12. Assists with preparation for annual audit, 990 filing, and annual budget.

13. Other duties as assigned.

14. Require regular and reliable attendance.

15. Remain current by attending Safety Trainings, mandatory trainings/licensure, & receiving an annual TB screening.

16. Proficiency with MS office computer software applications and/or Medical Records software applications, emails, etc. Seeks and participates in development of proficiency with available online and in-house trainings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Associate Degree in Business from a regionally accredited program or related field and a minimum of one (1) year experience.

· Outstanding computer literacy, including spreadsheet, database and accounting software and strong desire to improve and apply these skills. Ten-key by touch.

· Accuracy and attention to detail

· Aptitude for numbers

· Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks

· Data entry and word processing skills

· Well organized

SUPERVISOR: Human Resource Director

WORK SCHEDULE: Reports on time to work, maintaining schedule assigned by

Supervisor, with appropriate advance requests for paid time off if applicable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
