Summary:
While reporting to the Director of Finance your duties will include assisting the Director with trial balance, preparation of financial statements, drafting and updating of client settlement statements. Please keep in mind that flexibility is important, and work assignments outside the confines of this description are likely, including but not limited to accounts payable, account reconciliations and production of Ad Hoc financial reports.
Duties:
· Ensure payments are completed as well as process, verify, and reconcile invoices in a timely manner
· Preparation of client Settlement Statements
· Payroll preparation
· Support the full cycle of Accounts Payable, including preparing and processing invoices, writing checks
· Reconcile discrepancies and resolve vendor statements
· Assist with month-end closing procedures
· Support all processes of the Finance Team
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
· At least 3 years’ experience working in an accounting department – experience in accounting for a law firm is a plus
· Solid understanding of QuickBooks Enterprise
· Understanding of Paycom Payroll System
· Proactive, assertive, and creative approach to problem-solving
· A track record of following through on commitments
· Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
· High attention to detail
· Proficient in various accounting and office software especially in QuickBooks, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Acrobat
· Ability to balance multiple projects and meet necessary deadlines with limited supervision
