Accounting Manager

We leading a search for an Accounting Policy Manager position with special projects for an alternative investment / insurance firm in NYC. • Rapidly growing, yet very profitable global investment firm that offers alternative asset management & insurance products across multiple strategies and capital markets.
• This is a “Business Partner” position, that will regularly collaborate with other teams.
• Impactful role in accounting policy involved in development, and implementation of accounting policy (GAAP, SEC, and Statutory) across the entire organization. Assessing accounting implications of new initiatives and M&A / divestiture transactions, and in implementing new accounting standards.
• Part of a team that will be working on assessing the company’s financial statements & various projects in collaboration with Finance, Actuarial, Investments, Risk, and other stakeholders.
• Excellent flexibility – schedule can be fit to your preferences, hybrid in office in NYC (3 days) / work-from-home (2 days) flexibility.

• Regular interaction with Head of the team, with promotion track in place.

Qualifications:

1) CPA

2) Public Accounting / Audit / relevant accounting policy research experience

3) Experience in Financial Services and / or insurance industry is very helpful

4) Desire to learn, "business partner" across groups, represent company (along with Head of this group) at various industry events

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
