Accounting Specialist II
Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center is looking for an Accounting Specialist, to join their ranks. Under general supervision, prepares, processes, and supports accounting activity as assigned for preparation of monthly financial statements. Assists with posting and processing of accounting transactions. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Accounting Specialist II

Responsibilities:
- Assists in preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Assists in balancing ledgers.
- Sorts, codes, alphabetizes, verifies bills, charge slips, receipts.
- Assists with review and distribution of monthly statements.
- Assists with monthly closing process through preparation of journal entries, account analysis, preparation of bank reconciliations and creation of supporting documentation.
- Assists with the coordination and processing of A/P and payroll for assigned area. Verifies, processes, and maintains all required information by scheduled deadlines and supports actions with appropriate documentation.
- Works closely with practice management to provide assistance as directed.
- Responsible for coding invoices into the standard chart of accounts.
- Reviews payments to ensure that proper authorization and documentation of receipt are obtained.
- Maintains required records, reports, and files.
- Prepares and mails invoices.
- Assists in preparing financial reports.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with managers and members of other departments.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of practice and/or patient information.
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum two to five years of bookkeeping experience
- High proficiency in Excel spreadsheets
- Full charge bookkeeping and/or AA Degree preferred
