We are looking for an experienced AR/AP Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts receivable and accounts payable process for multiple entities, and will serve as back up for payroll, other accounting, and inventory processes.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:

• Accounts payable entries for vendors and brokers.
• Reconcile vendor statements.
• Assist in credit card reconciliation.
• Pursue vendor disputes.
• Confirm landfill invoices.
• Maintains contracts with vendors and customers.
• Reconciling incoming broker invoices to for accuracy.
• Cut checks, match invoices, obtain owner signature, and mail out; file documentation.
• Prepares and submits payroll for multiple entities.
• Prepare Labor spreadsheet (verifying WO/against billing).

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE

• Data entry of work orders into QuickBooks software to generate billing.
• Checking work orders to time cards for accuracy.
• Accounts receivable duties for multiple entities.

TEAM DUTIES:

• Answer phones as needed.
• Special projects and duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma, or two-five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
• Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and vendors in person, on the phone, and via other electronic methods.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving concrete facts and many variables in various situations.
