The Role:

We are seeking a Accounts Payable Associate to be based in New York, NY. We are entrepreneurial, fast- moving, and motivated by a desire to change the way that energy and electricity are delivered around the world. We are looking for a motivated, highly experienced individual with shared beliefs and passion to come and help drive the journey.

As the Accounts Payable Associate, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate payment of all invoices and expense reimbursements in compliance with company policies and procedures.

What You Will Do:

• Assist AP Manager with expenditures, including purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
• Assist with resloving any issues or discrepancies with accounts, while maintaining and providing best-in-class customer service to both internal and external customers
• Act as a liaison between the company and government
• Maintain the confidentiality of all company, client and vendor information; as well as maintaining internal controls and records for auditing purposes and seeking to mitigate operational risks
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Company

What You Bring:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in relevant or similar roles
• Bilingual (Spanish)
• Experience with a mid or large sized company
• Experience working with a publicly traded company is preferred
• Strong experience working with accounting systems
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation skills
• International experience with vendors in Nicaragua and Mexico, preferred.
