Laborde Products is an innovative family-owned company with offices in Covington, LA and Deer Park, TX. We provide heavy-duty engines, equipment, service, and support for our customers in the Marine and Industrial/Oilfield markets.

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator who will be responsible for processing invoices and payments and managing expense accounts.

In this role, you will:
  • Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and record entries.
  • Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verify federal id numbers, schedule and prepare checks, resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
  • Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos.
  • Issue stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
  • Pay employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances; prepare checks.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Assist with answering phone calls and completing other office duties as needed.
Qualifications we are looking for:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

This position operates in an office environment; Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require some standing and walking at times.
