As am Accounts Payable Manager you will manage the Global Accounts Payable department ensuring compliance with the organization's policies and procedures for processing accounts payable invoices, grower payments, expense reports, International vendor payments and vendor relationships with our accounts payable key systems. You will drives strategic process improvements to globally align Accounts Payable functions.


What You Will Do:

  • Manages the verification, documentation, processing, and posting of journal entries, including coding of expenses, preparation of vouchers, and issuance of checks for payment.
  • Monitors records of amounts owed and ensures prompt payment of invoices featuring discounts advantageous to the organization.
  • Reviews accounts payable ledger and other related accounting reports.
  • Ensures the accurate and timely preparation and filing of all legally required reports.
  • Investigates and reconciles complex problems; approves adjustments.
  • Acts as a liaison in the resolution of accounts payable problems/errors.
  • Utilizes multiple systems to interpret data and present findings to Senior Leadership
  • Establishes and implements work standards.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of written department policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for development, documentation, and ongoing compliance with internal controls.
  • Implements a successful vision/strategy, through strong leadership skills.
  • As a Global Process Owner, develops or approves recommendations to change systems, policies, and procedures; ensures timely and accurate implementation.
  • Works cross functionally to ensure effective communication, prioritization, execution, and adherence to established company policies and procedures as they relate to Accounts Payable.
  • Participates in department and interdepartmental planning and management teams and works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
  • Develops new cross-functional connections and leverages existing cross-functional connections to formalize and standardize processes, ensuring work aligns within the global organization.
  • Maintains strong business relationships with Finance, Sourcing, Technology Teams and Senior Leadership.
  • Develops and maintains operating budget and capital spending plan.
  • Leverages existing resources, assesses current skill sets, and determines the optimal department structure to support internal employees, management and cross functional teams.
  • Identifies and obtains staff capabilities needed to accomplish objectives.
  • Monitors and ensures achievement of performance goals and objectives either directly or through subordinate staff.
  • Oversees and handles projects that have short to long term focus.
  • Balances planning efforts with day to day demands.
  • Ensures employee conformance to established best practices and proper training of staff.
  • Stays informed on events that affect our business as well as our customer’s business decisions.
  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Develops, coaches and mentors peers, indirect and subordinate staff.
  • If accountable for the work of others, conducts performance evaluations; reviews and communicates salary adjustments; rewards employees or takes disciplinary action, as necessary; addresses complaints and resolves issues.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting plus 5 years of Accounting and Accounts Payable experience OR 10 years of accounting and accounts payable experience.
  • Candidates are required to complete a credit check for this position; the results do not automatically disqualify a candidate from employment, but will be individually evaluated to determine if the results disqualify the candidate for employment in such a position.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting plus 8 years of Accounting and Accounts Payable experience.
  • Certified Accounts Payable Professional (C.A.P.P.) desirable.
  • Experience reading, analyzing and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Experience effectively presenting information to top management.
  • Computer skill requirements include: basic MS Word, MS Access and MS PowerPoint; intermediate MS Excel. Intermediate JD Edwards or equivalent accounts payable software experience.
  • Skilled in working with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Skilled in applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Experience interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Experience working work with all levels and functions within the Company.
  • Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and controlling.
  • Experience working under pressure, meeting aggressive deadlines and make effective and sound decisions.

Compensation:


  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $105,400 - $158,000 + 10% bonus
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
