Position Title: Hybrid - Accounts Payable Specialist

Salary: $50,000/Yr. - $60,000/Yr.

Position Overview:

A stable organization leading in the construction industry since 1929 is currently hiring within their accounting team for an Accounts Payable Specialist, the AP Specialist will be responsible for processing and monitoring weekly invoice payments for materials, purchase order matching, reconciling discrepancies and maintaining a large vendor database. Qualified candidates must have experience working with the full cycle accounts payable process and be able to operate in a high-volume environment.

Job Description:

• Process invoices daily for materials
• Matching invoices - batching invoices to specific purchase orders
• 2-way and 3-way matching
• Reconciles processed invoices by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of full cycle accounts payable experience
• 3-way match experience preferred not required
• Experience working within the construction industry preferred not required
