Position: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: San Carlos (or other Bay Area location)

Overview:

· The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for a range of general staff accounting tasks but will be primarily responsible for working with direct cost vendors, maintaining accounts payable payments & records, and provides other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization.

Essential Duties:

· Review all invoices/statements for appropriate documentation and appropriate approval prior to payment

· Process payments

· Match invoices to checks, and distributes payments accordingly

· Administrates and maintains vendor master files, including vendor set up, 1099 maintenance, Form W-9 and all related activities

· Possess strong oral and written communication skills. Must be a team player and able to work well with other administrative professionals

· Respond to all vendor inquiries

· Assist in month end closing

· Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

· Reconciles statement and the ledger making sure that payments are consistent

· Audits statements as necessary

· Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.

· Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary

· Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience Requirements:

· Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Microsoft Excel (required)

· Worked within a multi-unit business (preferred)

· QuickBooks experience (preferred)

· Strong analytical and accounting skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Ability to multitask and high attention to detail

Requirements:

· Valid Driver’s Licenses

· US Work Authorization

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
