A self-starting, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Analyst might be interested in this job opening. This is a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Analyst position and is based in the Alpharetta, Georgia area. On an average day, the Accounts Receivable Analyst will perform tasks like business-to-business collections, preparing aging report, researching billing history, resolving cash application discrepancies, updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L. Your responsibilities in this role

• Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans
• Communicate information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
• Compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports and take care of payments in compliance with GAAP
• Verify codes and documents
• Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks
• Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers
• Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in different ledgers
• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
• Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
• High attention to detail
• Experience with ERP systems
• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired
• AS400 experience highly preferred
• Billing experience highly desired
• Demonstrated knowledge of Pivot Table
• Adeptness in VLOOKUP
• General familiarity with Microsoft Excel
• Practical knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
• Expertise in Aging Reports
• Solid understanding of commercial collections
• Foundational knowledge in account reconciliation
• Strong familiarity with cash applications
