Position Overview

Drive strong receivable collections results monthly to achieve optimal cash flow and performance targets.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform AR collection activities daily to ensure payments are received timely from customers
• Reconcile customer accounts monthly to identify account discrepancies and adjustments related to cash applications and deductions.
• Prepare, submit and/or post journal entries to resolve customer account discrepancies by end of the month.
• Research and resolve open payments on customer accounts by matching them to related open invoices.
• Investigate any errors made on invoices and help drive resolutions by interfacing with the business units and plants.
• Prepare for customer account scrub meetings to ensure timely reconciliation and resolution of open items on accounts.
• Prepare reports on customer accounts to support established monthly internal reviews and meetings.
• Interface with various levels of organization to drive AR resolutions and escalations
• Support various process improvement projects in the department as determined
• Support the closing process performing close duties and tasks including monthly, quarterly and yearly, and prepare close reports as required
• Support various audit activities as needed such as monthly, quarterly and yearly internal and external audits.

Qualifications

• Prior AR experience is needed, particularly collections
• Degree in Business Studies/Economics Science/Economics.
• Automotive industry AR experience is preferred.
• Excellent Analytical/Problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal /communication skills
• Close attention to detail
• Good time management skills
• Good systems knowledge, including SAP AR knowledge, MS Excel is ideal and preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure with deadlines.
• Ability to interface with all levels of management and employees
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
