Job Description
This part-time, grant-funded research position will assist the Active Lab in conducting evidence-based public health research to improve the lives of people in Kansas City and the USA. Common tasks include designing studies, conducting literature reviews and data analysis, writing reports and peer-reviewed manuscripts, and presenting results at national conferences. Projects include an analysis of the zero fare transit system in KCMO, public health systems research, and others as directed by Drs. Lightner and Grimes.
Research Assistant roles will include, but are not limited to:
- Recruit participants for research studies
- Lead data collection efforts
- Support study design and implementation
- Identify safety plans for research staff and participants
- Liaise between UMKC and external agencies
- Identify/develop culturally appropriate study material
- Send out monthly partner update
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Full Time/Part Time
This is a part-time (50% FTE), non-benefit eligible position with an average commitment of 20 hours per week.
Salary
$17.50 per hour
