Sunnyside Care Center is actively seeking Recreational Activities Aides to join our growing team of health care professionals where you will provide our patients and residents with engaging activities on a daily basis.

The Activities Aides will help organize and promote engaging activities for our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for using recreation modalities such as fitness, intellectual pursuits, and social programs to develop and use leisure in ways that enhance health, functional abilities, independence and quality of life of our residents.
• Assists with the organization and coordination of outings and various events.
• Use strong leadership skills to motivate and empower others, to inspire, and create an environment that fosters choice and personal well-being.
• Assess past, current and desired interests, to target programs that nurture and celebrate one’s personhood as part of Person Centered Care Programming.
• Distributes newsletters, calendar and bulletin board postings.
• Transport residents to and from activities.
• Assist with various activities and encourage participation from our residents.
• Any and all other duties as assigned by the Director of Activities.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.50 per hour
