Pines of Sarasota is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Activities Assistant.
The Activities Assistant reports to the Activities Director and is responsible for assisting in daily activity programs in accordance with residents assessed needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet with the Activities staff, medical and nursing staff, and other related departments to assist in implementing effective activities that meet residents identified needs.
- Assist department staff and other assigned staff in adapting activities for optimal participation.
- Conduct structured group and 1:1 as directed.
- Provide individual activities for residents in accordance with their care plan.
- Provide adapted material for the impaired to assure maximum participation in activity programs.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
- High school or equivalent education and experience
- Must have an understanding of social, cognitive, psychological, and recreational needs of the aged.
- Should have aptitude for and some training in arts and crafts, leading groups and documentation of activities.
