Position Description:
Join and supervise professional staff facility Event Assistants, Reservations Assistants, and program assistants to assign work to support the execution of SAC events/service and direct others in accomplishing work, effectively select and train staff, motivating staff to perform beyond set expectations. Arranges schedules and sets daily/weekly/monthly work priorities of the professional and graduate student facilities staff they supervise.� Provide timely feedback to staff monitoring projects and exercises appropriate follow-through, serve as a good role model for others and offer recognition and encouragement to staff.�
Provides supervision to four staff members and student workers to execute the operations of the Student Activity Center, the Red Barn, Bigelow Hall, and related facilities.
Serves as the direct liaison to student groups, departments, and external clients for all event planning needs of medium to large-scale events (event layout diagram creation, managing event load in planning, coordinating event organizer needs [before, during, after the event], managing event load out planning)
Responsible for the daily creation of event layout setups/diagrams using Social Tables software.
Responsible for managing daily TRAF-SYS People Counting System (produces reports and evaluates traffic flow throughout the facility)
Manage accounts receivable for Student Activities Center.� Prepare billing invoices and ensure proper payments for completed services by various areas of the Center.� Ensure that billing is timely and accurate, resolving any inquiries from clients.� Ensure compliance with University financial policies.
Communicate the policies and procedures of the Student Activities Center to current and potential clients.� Ensure facility users are in compliance with University and facilities policies and procedures.� Ensure that other departments of the University are informed as needed about functions in the Center to ensure policy compliance.� Promote, listen to and address concerns of the University community relative to policy and procedure by way of structured inquiry and day-to-day consultative process.� Interpret and initiate policies related to student activities.� Monitor and ensure compliance with risk management standards of the University.
Serve as an active member of the Student Involvement Department, attend meetings, and contribute to departmental goals and objectives. Aid other staff members as requested and assume additional responsibilities within the scope of the position as required.� Provide support for special events and functions that occur.� Participate in staff development programs for the department and Division of Student Affairs to enhance personal and professional development.� Participate in departmental and divisional planning and evaluation processes. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.� Provide information to the Assistant Director and Director as requested.� Conduct other administrative duties for the office as assigned.�������
Salary commensurate with experience.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
