CSO is looking for a Family and Youth Activity Coordinator for its Family Resource Center (FRC) in Great Barrington. This is a family centered program that serves families with children 0-18 years old. We offer multi-cultural parenting programs, support groups, early childhood services, information and referral resources and education for families. We also provide access to information and assistance related to health care, safety, employment training, education, peer support and a place for families to relax and have fun with each other. Our goal is to support families to strengthen their bonds, connect to others, and engage in their community. This position will provide leadership in development and implementation of FRC activities and events and coordinate community service activities.

This is a part-time position, 20 hours/week.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide support in development of overall FRC activity calendar or events.
• Collaborate with community and families/youth regarding events.
• Organize family and youth focus groups to get input into desired FRC activities and supports.
• Coordinate community service opportunities and community field trips for FRC families and youth.
• Facilitate and/or assist in facilitating FRC groups as needed.
• Assist with childcare as needed to support Parent Support Groups.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health discipline or related field, or equivalent combination of high school diploma or Associate's degree and applicable experience. Minimum one year demonstrated experience working with children, adolescents and families, including experience navigating children's systems and supports within the community. Good listening skills; ability to establish trusting relationships through compassion, empathy and insight, and ability to foster self-sufficiency in families using problem-solving and practical skills; familiarity with support groups or parent education groups. Must be able to work flexible schedule which may include evening and weekend work, as required by client needs. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
