Fair Oaks Health Care Center is on the lookout for an energetic, social, fun-filled, organized individual to fill our full-time Activity Director position.

Let us show you a day in the life of our Activity Director

• Greet and welcome all residents with enthusiasm;
• Coordinate and prepare team with all supplies, needed material to carryout daily activities noted on monthly calendar;
• Independently manage activity department assessments and team schedule;
• Attend morning manager's meeting
• Take part in our Leadership Committee weekly L10 meeting
• Attend resident care plans as scheduled;
• Coordinate next month's activity calendar to meet the needs of the residents while communicating with volunteers and outside community organizations;
• Constant assessment of unsafe situations and responding appropriately in a timely manner;
• Attend monthly resident council meeting and prepare minutes in accordance with IDPH; and
• Participate in the Manager-On-Duty program (rotating Sat/Sun with comp weekday off)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma
• 36-Hour Activity Directors Course (required by Federal Regulations);
• Proficient in Word, Publisher, and/or other creative outlets;
• Strong desire to work with the elderly;
• Ability to remain upbeat and positive when in difficult situations;
• Ability to physically lift/move up to 30 lbs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in long-term care setting
• Past managerial experience and skills
• Knowledge of EOS business practices

LEVEL OF SUPERVISION

• Reports directly to Administrator

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
