The Administrative Assistant for the President’s office will support the work of the college’s President’s Office by working with the Administrative Manager – President’s Office to support daily operational tasks and other projects as needed. The person in this position will also provide administrative support to the Associate Vice President for Collaboration, Compliance and Analytics, the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and the Director of Accreditation and Compliance as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and address inquiries to the President’s office through phone, email and in person.
  • Event organization and planning for the President’s office.
  • Assist the Administrative Manager with meeting preparations for the President, the Cabinet and the Chief Academic Officer.
  • Assist with maintaining records and the filing system for the President’s office, Chief Academic Office and the Board of Trustees.
  • Maintain the condition of the office and arrange for necessary maintenance.
  • Maintain office supplies, letterhead and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:
Appropriate education, training, experience, and talents are required. An example of this would be an Associate’s degree and three years of related experience.

  • Ability to prioritize work load and assigned tasks.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high quality work.
  • Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot and exercise good judgement.
  • Ability to anticipate needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skill in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
  • Customer service minded with an ability to address sensitive and confidential issues with diplomacy.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Expertise with software packages including databases and Banner is preferred.
Familiarity with KVCC, its programs and services is preferred.

Work Hours:
40 hours per week; Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
