JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant to the President
DIRECT REPORT: President
OBJECTIVE: Under direction of the President, the Administrative Assistant performs critical duties involving complex, diverse administrative tasks and serves as the primary support and point of contact for the President
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as a liaison between faculty, staff, and President’s cabinet
- Schedule, coordinate, and arrange President’s arrangements, conferences, meetings, interactions, and other related events
- Required to demonstrate extreme level of confidentiality to sensitive information
- Display excellent level of communication, listening, written, and oral skills
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining monetary budget
- Screen all calls, inquiries, and respond to all daily correspondence on President’s behalf
- Handle various matters with immediate sense of urgency
- Ability to analyze and make reasonable judgement with discretion
- Prioritize and handle conflict of various tasks and demands
- Capacity to perform and sufficiently master tasks independently
- Draft letters, email, and correspondence on President’s behalf
- Capability to manage projects with extreme level of quality and care
- Fosters and models a high level of professionalism
- Contributes success to the President and Institution by performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Must have 5-7 years of experience in an Executive-Level Administrative support position
Experience in higher education preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Flexible schedule may be required to meet deadlines outside of normal working hours
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
