Administrative Shared Service Center Budget Specialist Job at South Dakota State University
South Dakota State University (SDSU) Administrative Shared Service Center is offering an exciting career opportunity as an Administrative Shared Service Center Budget Specialist. We are looking for a creative and innovative professional to join us in Brookings, SD. This is a 12-month, 100%-time, benefit-eligible position. This position is supervised by the Director of Administrative Shared Services .

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the operational oversight of several areas served by the Administrative Shared Service Center, to include budgetary monitoring, transaction processing/review, grant post-award monitoring, financial reporting, policy compliance, process improvements, supervision, and other activities as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field completed by date of application;
· Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences;
· At least one year of experience in Accounting or related activities;
· Excellent oral and written communication skills;
· Demonstrated organizational and time management skills;
· Strong interpersonal skills;
· Ability to work as a contributing team member;
· Demonstrated use of technology;
· Demonstrated ability or potential to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate processes and direct effective operations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience developing/enhancing policy and operational processes;
Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field;
At least three years of experience in finance and business administration;
Previous Governmental Accounting or Higher Ed Accounting experience;
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel and other software;
Demonstrated leadership in developing or leading employees;
Demonstrated collaboration in developing funding options to support new and/or enhanced programming;
Knowledge of university policies, procedures, and systems.
