The role:

In this role, you will dispatch electrical crews for traffic signals and street lights, schedule meetings, complete daily paperwork, and greet/assist visitors that come in to the office. A day in the life:

Reviews, revises or create office procedures and processes to meet deadlines and priorities.

Communicate with other maintenance crews, dispatch, agencies, and police departments.
-
Dispatch electrical crews to emergencies with a good understanding of the geographical region.
-
Answer questions regarding policies and or procedures.
-
Coordinate repairs and ordering of all phone types and fax/copy/scanning machines.

Attend meetings and take notes.
-
Assist supervisor in keeping accurate employee records and evaluations.
-
Assist with timecard questions, paychecks, and training requests for employees.
-
Create, manage and close various accounts with vendors and other agencies.
-
This position handles various tasks and adjusts priorities to meet projected deadlines.

This position works in office and significant portion of the work is on the computer.

What we need:
Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data
OR
An associate degree in general office occupations and one year of experience with records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic experience in accounting procedures and processing payments.

Experience assisting with fiscal and biennium budgets and researching discrepancies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage many projects in an office environment with many interruptions.
