Job Summary: The primary duty of the Administrative Specialist I is to provide administrative and fiscal support to the Kent County Local Management Board. Duties include providing clerical assistance, coordinating the dissemination of information among staff and partners, and assisting in fiscal duties. Supervision is received from the LMB Director.

Essential Functions
1. Serves as the first contact for LMB callers and visitors; answers questions when possible and refers to other matters accordingly
2. Coordinates meetings, conferences, and other commitments for the LMB staff.
3. Supports the KCLMB team in preparation for meetings, including coordinating room reservations and room set-up; disseminating information, compiling resources, recording minutes, and maintaining files.
4. Supports staff with preparation and logistics for community forums, community outreach events, and other special events.
5. Tasks include processing payments, volunteer scheduling, and management, preparing invitations/program booklets, transporting supplies, venue set up, greeting guests, and acting as a liaison between the LMB and the venue. May involve activities outside of normal office hours.
6. Maintains department program and personnel files and various office records.
7. Maintains and ensures the efficient operation of office machines and equipment.
8. Keeps supervisors and departmental staff informed of office matters.
9. Handles the requisition of supplies and equipment.
10. Supports contract process by drafting documents and supporting materials.
11. Supports the request for proposal process by advertising and coordinating communication with applicants and Board members
12. Prepare payment forms and enters data in accounting systems.
13. Perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience:
- Requires High School diploma.
- Two years’ experience in a an administrative or office role.
- Valid Maryland Driver’s License and an acceptable motor vehicle record.

Physical and Environmental Conditions:
- Work is conducted in an office setting with comfortable lighting, temperature, and air conditions.
- The position occasionally requires stooping or bending. Occasional very light lifting, such as three or four reams of paper, books, or other materials (up to 20 pounds} may be required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $42,177.00 - $64,159.00 per year
