Advertising Manager - Cambridge, MA Job at Cambridge Innovation Center
CIC is looking for a creative, media-savvy Advertising Manager to join the growing Global Marketing Team. The Advertising Manager will be responsible for planning and execution of advertising initiatives with a focus on driving demand and leads. This role will report to the Senior Director of Global Marketing, and work closely with the full marketing team, as well as other core teams and external partners.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
The Advertising Manager will be responsible for running effective and efficient advertising campaigns designed to reach our core audience(s) via targeted channels with messaging that inspires action. In this position, you will manage the annual media budget and, in partnership with external media partners, oversee the purchase of media across search, display, social, video and retargeting, to support brand awareness efforts, while driving engagement and ultimately leads.
Responsibilities include:
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to develop collaborative campaigns and media plans.
- Proactively brainstorm new advertising partnerships and tactics that align with our brand mission and overall business objectives.
- Serve as the primary contact for external media partners, ensuring projects are on strategy and maintain momentum.
- Coordinate with internal creative team and/or external partners to develop and produce creative assets for campaigns.
- Collaborate with the digital marketing and sales team to ensure seamless tracking from ad engagement through lead generation to conversion.
- Monitor & analyze campaign performance to identify ongoing optimizations, new testing opportunities, and learnings from each campaign; create insights that lead to marketing efficiency and drive incremental sales.
- Prepare campaign reports summarizing performance, key takeaways, and ROI for leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Work with Marketing leadership, Sales and Finance to project media spend & impact.

YOU HAVE
- A solid understanding of ad campaign metrics and how to align them with business goals.
- In-depth understanding of common marketing and advertising best practices.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make effective and efficient decisions rooted in data when planning, scheduling and implementing campaigns.
- Decisiveness and strong problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.
- Experience partnering with others to develop and manage content for advertisements and product pages.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience creating or a strong understanding of test and learn strategies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years relevant experience managing paid media campaigns, with a particular focus on digital channels.
- Strong follow through on deliverables and the ability to manage many different tasks at once
- Ability to work within a team and independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- In-Depth knowledge of Google Analytics, search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO), as well as familiarity with HubSpot.
