STEAM WORKS STUDIO, Philadelphia is interested in hiring serious and committed STEM Teachers/Instructors who are looking for a part-time job teaching and motivating students Grades 1-8, to get interested in Science and Technology at various Philadelphia School District schools.
We are hiring teachers for all days of the week starting from September to June for conducting After-School Enrichment Programs in Robotics, Coding, Electronics, Chemistry, Science programs and ART.
A typical candidate will need to be highly motivated, independent, detail oriented and have the capacity, leadership skills and patience required to run a medium size 15 kids per class. You will have teacher assistants helping you.
All needed training, curriculum and learning assistance will be provided by STEAM WORKS STUDIO.
Only individuals who can commit for all days (Monday-Friday) each week from 3:15 PM to 6:15 PM need apply. Students span grades Grade 1 - Grade 8.
Great fun for those who like to work and teach with LEGO sets (Mindstorms EV3) or experience with coding with Java, Python, Science (Chemistry, Biology), Tinkering with Electronic circuits, 3D Printing & CAD. Game Designers, Artists are very welcome!

Job duties will include setting up class materials or kits for class, using provided presentation slides and other structured company provided materials, conduct live demos on Open DEMO days, run classes and coach & convey key STEM concepts to students, answer student questions while maintaining student interest and attention, providing valuable feedback back on student performance, or class challenges, courses and content.
All training will be provided for Enrichment program continuously through out the program.

Open to hiring students with some STEAM education and candidates with tutoring experience.

$25-$30/hour depending on experience, length of commitment and availability.
Performance based bonus possible.
