*One position available, qualified candidate will work in the Shoemakersville, PA branch office. This lending position will cover the following counties: Northampton, Lehigh, Carbon, Northern Montgomery, Pike, Monroe and Bucks.

Position Description: Agricultural Relationship Manager serves as a confident financial professional through the delivery of sound credit and financial services within regulations and policies. Formulates business development strategies, develops customer relationships, and actively manages a portfolio. Promotes related services, participates in public relations activities, and develops a favorable Farm Credit image in the community. Assists regional team and Association in meeting its goals and objectives through effective teamwork, cooperation, and communication.

Areas of Responsibility Include:

  • Develops new business by actively pursuing new individual and business customers and by becoming a visible and involved member of the community. Expands existing relationships by proactively researching customer needs and matching bank products and services to those needs.
  • Interview s applicants, gathers, analyzes and reconciles complete, accurate credit and financial data including complete applications using the five credit factors under the guidelines of differential analysis.
  • Determines credit risk and makes timely and accurate decisions. Establishes and renegotiates credit terms, when necessary.
  • Communicates credit decision to loan applicants within required timeframes. Independently originates single entity loans up to delegated authority.
  • Services loans in portfolio to retain high loan level quality. Reviews progress of loans on a periodic basis. Makes periodic calls on loan customers to evaluate management, inspect collateral, detect signs of potential financial problems or uncover opportunities for additional lending.
  • Monitors delinquent reports and counsels with customers to bring accounts current. Provides guidance to customers seeking solutions to financial problems.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • Generally, two to five years of related experience in sales, commercial lending, agriculture industry, or financially related experience.
  • Capable of managing loans and customer relationships within the assigned portfolio under general supervision.
  • Proficient interpersonal relations and communications skills.
  • Handles duties within the required time expectations, delivering excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to employ diplomacy and tact with customers and prospects while articulating the benefits of Farm Credit. Self-starter; computer literate; problem-solving & time management skills; knowledge of agriculture.
  • Understands local market and competition to carry out an effective market development plan (MDP) with direction from supervisor.
  • Spends significant amount of time meeting with customers, prospects, and referral generators.
  • Adaptable and flexible to a changing work environment.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to be assertive and decisive in arriving at sound business decisions which serves the best interest of the association and borrower.
