Office Agent $19/hour
$1500 Signing Bonus -$500 after 90 days and $1000 after one year**
In this role, you will play an important part of our world-leading ground handling operation at the BOS Logan International Airport. With a focus on accuracy and customer service, you will be responsible for completing various aspects of cargo administrative support; including computer data entry, preparing all flight documents; and managing relationships with U.S. Customs.
Your main job duties may include (but not limited to):
Prepare all import and export documentation; and accepts/distributes cargo in accordance with the applicable air carrier and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
Receives cargo/mail from and releases cargo to consignors, consignees, brokers, agents, truckers, etc., including checking for damage/tampering, counting, receipting and loading and unloading cargo.
Handles warehouse cargo/mail, including the loading and unloading of aircraft and trucks, moving, stacking, stamping, weighing, measuring, labeling, constructing and dismantling, including the removal of tie down gear and other related equipment.
Solicits orders or talks with customers to complete sales.
Quotes prices and terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of company’s delivery schedules.
Required Skills
Ability to drive all cargo handling equipment. Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift.
Ability to learn PC skills and apply knowledge.
Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM.
Required Experience
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Driver’s License required
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Computer familiarity is necessary.
Demonstrate initiative.
Must be able to lift 50 to 70 pounds (31.9kg).
Must be able to work weekends (i.e. Friday, Saturday, Sunday), holidays, and days off.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Must be able to maintain airport authority access, and be able to work scheduled shifts.
Must be able to follow directions and work safely
