MSS Operations Technology is a global team responsible for developing a wide number of key platforms and technologies in use in MSS. Be part of a truly global team with colleagues in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Mexico City, Paris, Pune, New York & London. Software and solutions used in ~50 sites in HSBC Group. As a part of the team, you will work with many colleagues on a wide range of technology as well as helping to support the MSS Operations function. The current team has an excellent relationship with Operations and works with various support functions in an agile way.

The role of America Production Lead within the Markets & Security Services Operations Technology (MSSOT) team, is to deliver a high and proficient level of governance and control across the MSSOT Production estate during the America time zone. This is a leadership role with governance responsibility. You will be responsible for working with the developments pods & leads in New York & Mexico, ensuring that they are continuously striving for improvement, reducing production incidents, and increasing release cadence.
Our goal is to ensure everyone in the team releases code, raises a production change request does production support, this role is critical in helping us achieve this. The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties with a high level of competence:
- Responsible for AMER regions ‘State of the Nation’ Daily report detailing Incidents across the MSSOT technology estate.
- Participate in cross Global Business / Global Function (GB/GF) Communities of Practice (CoP) meetings to help influence key decisions made at a group level.
- Represent MSSOT in multiple MSS and regional Meetings, Service Resilience working groups and APAC Service Management forums.
- Work with multiple teams and programme leads to understand, call out and review how their services operate in Americas.
- Continually improving the operating environment for production, focusing on reducing toil, improving automation across MSSOT, using data.
- Production lead for MSSOT Americas related applications
- Hands on in innovation to improve automation of production environment. From working to be API first service management & more metric driven. To helping the teams work on the latest service management technology
For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $157,700 and $236,600.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
