WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Product Line Manager for North America’s Express Lane Apparel team.

As our Product Line Manager, this person will oversee all facets of the Express Lane product creation process for Mens apparel (across both Lifestyle and Performance businesses). This role will play an integral part of our Mens strategy, driven by consumer insights, marketplace analysis and a clear understanding of enterprise priorities, to deliver key product briefs, line plans and team leadership. They will also have the added responsibility of being a people manager.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to partner cross-functionally, think entrepreneurially, and evolve a product line while driving a vision for the future. They should be able to work well in ambiguity, can evolve and refine the operating model they work within, and can lead a cross-functional team in the creation of product. This is a high visibility role with both strategic and creative elements, managing the product seasonal strategy to meet financial targets and product creation process. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of apparel, sport, fashion, and sneaker culture!


WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As our Product Line Manager you will lead and provide expert level product & merchandising strategies for the geo that support the long term global apparel strategies and product line. You will research and analyze product, consumer and competitive trends in North America. You will independently develop conclusions and make recommendations to senior management on opportunities to further develop and grow the business.

You will also be responsible for creating a seasonal style count that optimizes efficiency, margin and revenue. You will be responsible for partnering with footwear to ensure seasonal alignment.

You will be responsible for managing the product creation process, leading the cross functional team in achieving the vision & product strategy in partnership with Design and Merchandising. You will lead and guide the team in ultimately making best in class product. You will build and present compelling product presentations seasonally.

This individual will be responsible for crafting insightful product briefs, analyzing consumer and competitive trends to bring innovative, quality product to market that meets margin targets. You will own strategy and the successful execution of the line plan architecture in partnership with Geo Merchandising. This person will also be responsible for creating impactful presentations that apply digital tools at appropriate gates to inform and inspire triad and downstream partners around our seasonal product strategies!


WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This individual will lead product strategy, consumer work, and product creation processes for the overall product line in collaboration with the Product Director. You will spend time with consumers, the triad (graphic design, technical development, and sourcing/costing) as well as geo merchandising partners to conduct analysis of the current business and assortment opportunities. You will also lead the design and development teams to hit key deliverables each season, including all key creation deadlines. You will co-own the successful creation and execution of the line plan architecture in partnership with Geo Merchandising. This individual will collaborate with teammates in the Men’s Product and Merchandising teams as well as share standard methodologies from the Mens GEL business with product peers, cross-functional partners, and leadership teams across the gender offense.


WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years experience in a product-related role
  • Deep understanding of the Mens consumer, street culture and market (key consumer trends and moments, aesthetic, preferences, relevant brands, industry collaborations, brand history, etc.)
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intuition for business & strong analytical abilities
  • General understanding of apparel product construction and sourcing process
  • Able to lead and influence a team and enable collaborative working relationships
  • Attention to detail and deadlines
  • Experience in graphic application methods, garment washes, and finishes is preferred
  • Experience monitoring and understanding trends, and applying that understanding to product briefs is preferred
  • Necessary Skills/Tools: Visual Tool Creation (Powerpoint/Keynote/Miro), Excel Skills, Smartsheets
