Accounts Receivable Specialist
An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join Glanbia Business Services in Aurora - with a blended working arrangement available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance. T his is a permanent non-exempt position and will report to the Credit Controller.
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist will be responsible for processing cash allocations, collections, order releases and credit for group business units. This position will include working and calling on key and problem accounts.
Key elements of the role
Allocate and reconcile customer payments daily.
Manage customer deductions and obtain backup data from customers including national grocery chains and retailers for further analysis by business unit.
Enter customer deductions in system for business unit to recover deducted fund.
Assist collectors to resolve any dispute to ensure timely payments.
Collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve customer issues.
Produce monthly team reporting and various reporting of accounts receivables.
Participate to projects to improve Accounts Receivable department processes and procedures.
Requirements for the role
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related discipline (business, finance, accounting).
Skills & experience
Proficient to Advanced Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel-vlookup, Pivot, Macros
3+ years’ experience in Accounts Receivable role in retailer’s portfolio with deductions.
Experience in a shared services environment an advantage.
Experience in a retailer’s vendor/supplier portal is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
Must be proactive and flexible to work across other teams as required.
SAP experience an advantage.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
