Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented candidate who can prepare work to be accomplished by reading and studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, parts lists, gathering parts, tools, and materials to produce store front doors and frames. All applicants will start the position as a door prepper to learn the necessary knowledge before assembling doors. This role is not limited to strictly assembling doors and could be utilized in other areas of the plant as needed to cover production requirements, or other assignments deemed necessary by management.

Here’s What You’ll Get To Do

• Use hand tools such as drills, screw drivers and impact wrenches
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work orders, process work orders by due dates provided
• Read and use a tape measure
• Read and perform calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Complete daily worksheets and forms, calculate necessary measurements and inspect work consistently and efficiently to meet production goals
• Learn different aluminum profiles
• Ensure the machine and tools are in good working order, perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on machinery/tools
• Submit re-cut workorders for material rejected due to quality defects

What We’re Looking For

• Must have basic computer knowledge
• Must have the ability to read and understand measurements and dimensions
• Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions and blueprints
• Must be coachable to train on various aspects of position
• Must be safety oriented and have the ability to wear all required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hat, cut resistant sleeves, steel toe shoes with met guard)
• Must be able to work at a fast pace

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift, bend, twist, walk and reach frequently
• Must have good hand/eye coordination
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Must have close visual acuity to perform the necessary duties and responsibilities
• Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environments (temperatures inside warehouse can be hot or cold depending on the season)
