Responsibilities
The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator assists with coordination and support for two federally funded studies examining cognitive and behavioral outcome measures in children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Schedules, coordinates and conducts cognitive assessment visits for adults, including elderly persons with IDD. Coordinates collection of behavioral data from caregivers of people with IDD on ecological momentary assessment app. Associated tasks include managing lab databases, assisting other study staff with coordinating study visits, overseeing purchase orders for study supplies, compensation and travel for participants, and assisting with dissemination of research findings to the public including collaborating on manuscript writing and conference and community presentations.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience conducting cognitive assessments of people with IDD
  • Experience with REDCap database management and data collection modules
  • Experience training and working with undergraduate volunteers
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team in a collaborative manner
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with the community and research participants and to oversee undergraduate research assistants and junior lab staff
  • Ability to take initiative and use judgement to identify problems needing solutions under the guidance of the Principal Investigator
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • B.A./B.S. in Psychology or related field, or equivalent combination of experience/training
