The Assistant Director will have daily oversight of the HYPE Center team, youth workforce, all center operations, and partner relationships. The Assistant Director will support the Executive Director in strategic planning, budgeting and fundraising. This position will work closely with the Senior Director of Impact and Learning on data collection and analysis, quality assessment processes, and convening of the youth advisory board; and with the Operations Manager to ensure facility operations run smoothly. This position works in-person Monday through Thursday 10:30am-7pm and Fridays 9am-5:30pm, with occasional Saturdays and evenings, as necessary.

Description

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Supervise, oversee and support HYPE Center staff including hiring, training and coaching youth workforce team.
  • Manage initiatives of the HYPE Center, including youth workforce team, youth outreach and on-site resources.
  • Build and maintain partner relationships with co-located, programming and referral partner organizations, including a multi-county referral directory of youth services.
  • Manage current contracts to ensure compliance, completion of deliverables, program report(s) completion, and budget implementation.
  • Oversee HYPE Center budgets, including purchasing and reconciliation of all Center transactions.
  • Oversee and manage daily operations of HYPE Center in close collaboration with the Operations Manager.
  • Develop and convene a youth advisory board in collaboration with the Sr. Director of Impact and Learning and survivor interns.
  • Inform process improvements through database and HYPE member feedback.
  • Support and assist the Executive Director in and at special events, fundraising efforts and act as a proxy to designated meetings.
  • Ensure youth member database information is accurate at all times.
  • Actively participate in the HYPE provider community to build relationships and trust.


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team of direct reports.
  • Significant experience developing and managing community based programs.
  • Relevant experience in building and managing nonprofit budgets, specifically with multi funding streams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, maintain and grow relationships with stakeholders, partners and constituents.
  • Relevant experience working in urban communities with young people and the ability to relate to their needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to multitask, follow up, and manage competing priorities independently.
  • Excellent time management skills: ability to balance priorities and demonstrated ability to manage projects independently from creation to implementation.
  • Flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing needs of the business.
  • Ability to establish partnerships and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google, Slack and other applications as required.
  • Spanish bilingual is preferred, but not required
