YOUR LIFE AS AN ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

As the Assistant Director of Early Childhood Education at our nonprofit, get ready to take charge and oversee the daily operations at our amazing school, ensuring that every single one of our students with disabilities receives the highest level of education and care.

Are you ready to wear many hats? From supervising staff to maintaining program census, ensuring adequate staff coverage, and so much more, you are the ultimate rockstar making sure everything runs smoothly.

But that's not all! You are meticulous in completing paperwork for billing, conducting education evaluations, and teacher observations. Reviewing lesson plans and overseeing the administration of state assessments? Easy peasy! Submitting statistics and reports and keeping up with daily observation notes for the students? Piece of cake!

And if that wasn't enough, get ready to share your amazing knowledge about children with disabilities and other special needs as a fantastic resource for our teachers. You provide them with resources and referral information, organize team meetings, and assist in staff development and teacher recertifications. SCHEDULE

You can expect to work a typical 9-5 schedule, with some evening and weekend hours required as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field
• Able to meet all requirements determined by the State of NY Bureau of Licensing to be the substitute for the Director in his or her absence
• Certified in Infant and Child CPR, CPR, and First Aid
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Covid-19 vaccination

A master's degree and three years of experience as an administrator in an early childhood education program are preferred but not required.
