Position summary: Plan, organize and direct nursing service at Wharton Homes. Control and evaluate the nursing service in order to meet the total nursing needs of the resident and to maintain a quality of service that will fulfill the objective of the nursing home. Will work cooperatively and respectfully with residents, coworkers, families, visitors, and volunteers to create a positive and pleasant environment in the home. Promotes the residents' psychosocial well-being through meaningful relationship building, and works with the household team to meet other social service needs of the resident and of the household, always providing support, friendship and kindness for each of the household members. All tasks are performed in accordance with current standards, policies, guidelines and regulations and in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential skill and experience:
· Graduate of an approved school of nursing; current Tennessee license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
· Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations, and communicative skills; auditory and visual skills; satisfactory completion of post-offer, pre-employment physical as required.
· Proficient computer skills including word and excel.
· Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Preferred skill and experience:
· A minimum of one-year prior experience in long-term care preferred.
Reporting to this position: RN’s, LPN’s, CNA’s (Caregivers)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
