Assistant Director of Nursing Job at Pflugerville Health Care Center
We are looking for a Assistant Director of Nursing. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff, evaluating staff performance and maintaining an effective team operation. The Assistant Director of Nursing will ensure all company policies are strictly followed and will work directly with personnel managers to make sure that the nursing staff has received the necessary training and education that is required by all regulatory bodies and state laws.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that patients receive the proper care.
- Provide leadership to other staff members.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate medical and nursing activities in the unit to which assigned.
- Provide direction to other nursing staff members and supervise the performance of their duties.
- Liaise within departments, as well as with outside agencies, in order to provide an accurate picture of patient needs and ensure that services are delivered to meet those needs.
- Will be reponsible for facility infection control
- help with staffing and scheduling of nursing department.
- Will work with the Director of Nursing and other departments regarding the care plans of the residents.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing
