The Candlewood Suites is looking for a dynamic Assistant General Manager to assist the GM with all daily duties.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist General Manager with daily tasks
  • Be on Call when needed
  • Flexible Schedule
  • Train, supervise and support all staff
  • Schedule and labor forecast
  • Ensure timely and accurate customer service
  • Handle guest complaints
  • Troubleshoot emergencies
  • Have fun with associates - Motivate the Team
  • Monitor stock and order office supplies
  • Monitor Expenses and budgets
  • Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
  • Ensure company’s policies and security requirements are met

Skills

  • Proven work experience as an AGM, Front desk manager or Reception manager
  • IHG experience a huge plus
  • Ability to work any day of the week
  • Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Thorough knowledge of customer service, office management and basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written)
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Problem-solving skills
  • High School diploma; additional certification is a plus'

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
