JENNIFER FISHER is seeking a driven and optimistic Assistant Inventory Planner to join our fast growing company. The primary focus of this position will be to assist in managing inventory across all Jennifer Fisher sales channels: stores, e-commerce, and wholesale. The Assistant Inventory Planner will process inventory orders, input into company systems the items received and removed from inventory, coordinate packaging orders, and reporting. In addition, the Assistant Inventory Planner will work closely with the Director and other cross-functional partners to determine how to most effectively allocate and utilize the inventory to support sales goals, future events, and other marketing initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
As an integral part of the Jennifer Fisher finance team, the Assistant Inventory Planner will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Coordinate packaging supplies into office as well as new orders with external factories.
  • Monitor inbound flow of goods (Salt) into office as well as ensuring production remains up to date at copacker and procurement of raw materials.
  • Assist Jewelry production teams with raw material ordering.
  • Work with production teams on entering and maintenance of work orders.
  • Monitor and offer recommendations on reorder points to ensure that the correct balance of inventory is available based on the seasonal assortment matrix and/or needs of business change.
  • Create new launch item transfers to stores and to PR for seeding.
  • Monitor daily the Backorder Report for any new orders that may need to be placed outside of normal ordering cycles.
  • Work with external partners/vendors to push for timely receipt of products into inventory.
  • Track all inbound shipments from the time they are in-transit until they get delivered to production, warehouse or store.
  • Review inventory in all locations for stock balancing opportunities or to correct any in stock issues in a timely manner.
  • Support with the daily allocation and replenishment from the warehouse to stores and/or store-to-store transfer requests.
  • Provide hands-on help with reconciling inventory with the warehouse.
  • Assist with forecasting quantities and buy strategies for new item launches, finished goods, and future season/holidays preparation.
  • Assist with pulling weekly reporting and recaps.
  • Analyze trends (product, style, size, color) and correlate with historical sales data to identify inventory requirements.
  • Communicate higher level inventory needs to the Director.
  • Perform ad hoc sales analysis.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Finance, or relevant field.
  • 2 – 5 years’ experience within retail/consumer goods inventory/merchandise planning; jewelry a plus but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel: includes Pivot tables, Vlookups and formula usage.
  • Proficient at utilizing various inventory systems; netsuite and/or shopify is preferred.
  • Aptitude to learn new systems quickly and efficiently.
  • Solid grasp of retail math and inventory planning concepts.
  • Proven ability to develop, interpret, and analyze data and inventory reports to translate to actionable steps or execute inventory re-balancing opportunities.
  • Competent in strategizing in allocation and replenishment.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely both written and verbally and ability to provide regular status updates.
  • Proficient at executing operational tasks.
  • Outstanding prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Detailed oriented with excellent follow up/through.
  • Adept with numbers and have an analytical mindset.
  • Proactive at problem-solving and takes initiative to correct errors and improve processes.
  • Possess a sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure and meet set deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to change and new processes.
  • Works well independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent at building and maintaining relationships with external vendors, factories, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Working conditions
Position is full time in office

Physical requirements
  • Manual tasks may be assigned from time to time such as packing/unpacking.
  • Assisting warehouse team with bringing vendor shipments into office.
Salary Range:
$55,000 - $65,000
rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate's relevant skills and experience
