As an Assistant Procurement Manager at NVR, parent company of Ryan Homes, you will support the Procurement team in selecting and managing contractors, distributors, and suppliers and providing a high level of support to the business. You will interact with eight (8) Manufacturing plants, Homebuilding Operations, Architectural Services and senior leaders/executive teams of NVR suppliers.

We are seeking an intelligent, highly motivated, positive, results-oriented person to join our Procurement Team, in our Frederick, MD office.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist multiple Procurement or Group Sourcing Managers in the management of suppliers and distributors, to support the growth and service levels to the business. These responsibilities may include, but is not limited to, analyzing take rates, reviewing delivery performance, and interpreting assembly/design reports and drawings in support of suppliers and in-house management of products.
  • Create and review pricing matrices for auditing of bids, cost projections, contract analysis and negotiations for all suppliers and present to Procurement management team.
  • Supply monthly forecast / backlog reporting and support Procurement management team in analyzing capacity constraints.
  • Support the RFQ process through compilation of packages, receipt of responses, tracking documents, analyzing responses, and setting up yearly supplier files.
  • Provide a high level of support on technical data requirements to Homebuilding Operations, Architectural Services, Building Products and Suppliers, to ensure compliance.
  • Generate and review daily part maintenance reports, request quotations for new and modified parts, and audit part quotes for both current and potential suppliers. Communicate with the Architectural Services and Building Products team regarding new or modified parts.
  • Understand NVR's yearly business objectives, initiatives and cost reduction goals and support the team in meeting or exceeding these goals.
  • Maintain and administer information for supplier files and documents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (concentration in Supply Chain preferred)
  • 2+ years of Supply Chain/Procurement experience
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to interact with suppliers to drive business improvement
  • Proven project management skillsets in developing and implementing change management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, decision-making and meeting deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to read, understand and negotiate contract terms and conditions
  • Ability to efficiently interact with all organizational levels and suppliers
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills
