Description

The Department of Criminology, Justice Studies, and Global Security seeks a full-time assistant professor to serve as Director of the Cybersecurity program. The program is a partnership among the Department of Computer Sciences, the Department of Information Technology, and the Department of Criminology, Justice Studies, and Global Security. The candidate selected must have the ability to work in collaboration with all partners and teach courses in the program.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:
(1) An earned doctorate in Cyber Security or a closely related discipline preferred, ABD considered. Candidates who have a master’s degree in Cyber Security or a closely related discipline with a strong teaching or professional background in Cyber Security are urged to apply and shall receive consideration,
(2) Experience in the Criminal Justice System and/or a demonstrated ability to teach Criminal Justice related courses is a plus
(3) Demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in teaching, and service to the university and profession
(4) Strong commitment to quality of student and program excellence
(5) Ability to work in collaboration with other university departments
(6) Ability to develop, build, and grow the program
(7) Ability to create connections in the community

Experience in the following areas are a plus.

(1) Cyber Security Management
(2) Ethical Hacking
(3) Forensics
(4) Applied Cyber Security
(5) Criminal Justice System
(6) Incident Response
(7) Industry recognized certification and badges

Salary for the position is $53,660 with excellent benefits
