About Cornerstone of Oak Creek
Cornerstone of Oak Creek Manor is a 36-apartment assisted-living residence that has been operating in the Oak Creek community for more than 20 years, where many residents and staff have lived and worked throughout their lives-giving our residence a close-knit, family-like feel. The goal of the our staff is to maintain and improve the health and well-being of each resident through support, encouragement, and empowerment. Through the passionate pursuit of excellent care and superior service, we help make the treasured years of our residents fulfilling, purposeful, and enjoyable through community activities, socialization and a warm, inviting environment.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of specific diet requirements
- Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen
- Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that food safety standards are met
- Prepare, cook, and plate meals according to the developed menu
- Collaborate with staff for special occasion menus
- Ability to spend much of the shift on your feet
Qualifications
- Dedicated and passion to serve senior with excellent customer service skills
- Positive attitude and the flexibility to preform various duties in service to the residents
- Continually demonstrating the core values of Cornerstone; providing assistance in a non-intrusive and unassuming manner, treating residents with dignity, respect, and kindness
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Shift Hours are from 2pm - 6pm
- Availability to work every other weekend
- Passion for Cooking
- Knowledge of safe and productive use of kitchen machines including mixers, processors, slicers, steamers, and computer-aided ovens
- Ability to work in a kitchen environment which includes enduring temperatures ranging from -8 degrees to 100 degrees
