Associate Director of Sanitation Programs Job at Kellogg Company
As the Associate Director of Sanitation Programs, you will support and drive sanitation performance within plant manufacturing sites within North America. This involves leadership in the areas of Hygienic design, Housekeeping, Master Sanitation, Line Downtime and Changeover cleaning, and Pest Control. As a partner to Quality leaders, you will ensure sanitation policies and systems are effectively implemented and sustainable. As a leader for 20 Manufacturing facilities, you will be the technical resource for Global Food Safety and Sanitation teams as well as a coach and mentor for other sanitation professionals within North America.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Subject Matter Expert - Build sustainable capability within the Sanitation organization through effective leadership and living the K-values, training workshops, best practice sharing, onboarding processes, coaching, and mentoring. Lead KNA sanitation improvement initiatives through master planning and alignment with Plant and Regional leadership. Participate in the global Sanitation Community of Practice and Lead the KNA Regional Sanitation Community of Practice. Contributes to the development of functional strategy within these teams. Engage in industry associations and external networks to build understanding/expertise and show leadership in emerging trends/systems related to sanitation. Enhance the company's reputation through professional contacts in the industry.
- Continuous Improvement - Provide Key Performance reporting through effective weekly, monthly, and annual reporting processes. Communicate opportunities for improvement and methods to improve Sanitation performance. Drive the successful use, implementation, and continuous improvement of Sanitation systems, tools, and programs. Review, update, maintain, publish, and drive effective policies, procedures, and practices related to Sanitation. Identify trends, needs, and technical capabilities that will drive sanitation improvements for future sustainability. Develop and implement new programs, processes, and standards that will have an impact on the achievement of Sanitation results. Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges regarding Sanitation and proactively work to resolve these challenges.
- Leadership: Build relationships with and drive performance in Sanitation related suppliers and service providers. Engage with procurement teams to align with and drive strategic partnerships. Provide Sanitation oversight and leadership/coaching to Plant leaders to deliver sanitation performance. Provide leadership and expertise related to Pathogen Verification and Allergen Validation within the network. Provide insights and recommendations to Senior Quality leadership that will enhance sanitation performance. Plan and execute effective onboarding, training, and skill-building workshops to enhance sanitation capabilities within the region. Communicate effectively with all functions to build strong synergies, especially with EHS and Engineering partners.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
Associates Degree required with extensive work experience. BS or BA Degree in Food Science or Equivalent science/engineering related degree preferred.- Plant Quality, Sanitation, or Operations experience with leading teams of people in Sanitation at FDA or USDA regulated facilities.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, coaching, and interpersonal people skills are required.
- Recognized as a Sanitation expert and advisor within the organization and has an in-depth and/or breadth of expertise within Sanitation.
- Technical Sanitation experience is a must.
